Thornby Associates was formed in 2010 following the demise of Home Information Packs, when a new trade association and a new professional body were formed as a direct result.

The Property Energy Professionals Association (PEPA) was created to represent the Government appointed accreditation schemes for energy assessors, and the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RSPSA) was created as a home for the Home Inspectors who had qualified to produce Home Condition reports and been abandoned by Government.

Today, RPSA has grown as an organisation that runs independently and highly successfully. However, Thornby Associates still provides secretariat services to PEPA some 12 years on.

In 2012 we were approached by the Council of Property Search Organisation (CoPSO) and the Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC), to provide secretariat services for them, and they are still clients today.

In the years that have passed since, Thornby Associates has formed long term relationships with many other trade and professional bodies in sectors as diverse as opticians and the drainage industry and has expanded its activities to provide services to a number of third sector organisations, including charities, as well as private companies.

We pride ourselves on the fact that Thornby Associates has never spent any money on marketing or advertising, with all client relationships being based on personal introduction and recommendation.

We act as a closely knit group of people who always support each other, and we are obsessed with delivering an excellent service to our clients and their members.
